Hidden Valley Mountain Metric

Hidden Valley Mountain Metric

The Hidden Valley Mountain Metric is an untimed, fully supported, road bicycling event around the Laurel Highlands. The riders’ options include three routes: a metric century (68 miles), a shorter 54 mile route, or a half metric century (35 miles), all of which begin and end at Hidden Valley Foundation. Each route has about 100 feet of climbing per mile and maximum grades will be as much as 12% on some climbs. It is a fully supported ride with rest stops featuring locally sourced refreshments every 20 miles; SAG vehicles offering rider assistance are on the course throughout the event. All participants receive a long sleeve, performance fabric T-shirt.  The registration fee also includes an after-ride party featuring local food trucks, locally sourced ice cream, and entertainment.  A local brewery will also offer beverages for purchase.

On the evening before the event, the Hidden Valley Mountain Metric team will offer early packet pick-up from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on Friday at Hidden Valley Foundation pavilion. A local food truck will be available at that time on site. On the day of the event (July 16, 2022), on-site sign-in will open at 7:00 a.m. with a "show and go" start any time after 8:00 a.m. Rider briefings will be given for the 68-and 54-mile rides at 7:45 a.m. and for the 35-mile ride at 8:00 a.m.

Registration for the 2022 HVMM opened on January 4, 2022. Cyclists who register prior to April 1, 2022 will receive a non-refundable early-bird registration fee of $45. After April 1, 2020, the non-refundable registration fee increases to $55/person. This event is limited to 225 cyclists.
